Raystech/Epever 12.8V 100ah LifePO4 Battery

This is a really good battery at a very good price point. They use Prismatic cells and the BMS and cells are CFS branded. The case is nice and strong and the OLED Display looks really nice but arguably doesn't tell you much in terms of the actual SOC of the unit. We have performed a few tests on them and have come to the following conclusions and derived some preferred settings for them. 

They feature a mode for use as a Lead acid replacement meaning charge voltages can be 14.4 and discharge cutoffs can be 10.8, this is useful if your inverter or device can not be set. It tries to detect when its being used in that mode by means of the charger voltage. The moment the battery voltage goes above 14.2 it seems to engage and from there on in the voltage coming out is 0.8V less than the actual internal battery voltage. so during a discharge the output voltage is going to be 12.5 when internally its 13.3 and when the output reaches 10.8 it should be 11.6 internally. For lifepo4 the cutoff is 2.9V per cell so thats 4 x 2.9 - 11.6. its a clever feature enabling use in various dumb inverter applications. 

However

if your inverter has the capacity to be set or programmed it is preferable to not let this battery go into this mode. here is our recommended settings for the units.
